Meet Kristine Best
A Woman On A Mission
Originally from Sydney, Kristine now lives in Gosford on the Central Coast of New South Wales, Australia. Kristine is a multi-genre singer songwriter and artist who has worked hard to reach the finals and shortlists of various song and talent contests. Some of her songs, "Cruising", "Blue Moon Blues", "My Good Luck Bringer", "So Many Bridges In My Mind" and "Chill Out Café", have received an Executive Music Review from Radio Play Today. Those reviews were positive and appreciative of her song writing talent. In one review Kristine was described as a great singer and an intelligent artist with a bright future.
When Kristine began playing ukulele in 2015, she had no idea where it would lead her. She had begun writing songs and there was a performer in her aching to get out. In December 2016, Kristine joined a songwriting group and over the next few months, she bought recording software, learnt how to record track-by-track and made a demo CD of her original songs. From June 2017, Kristine embarked on a mission to promote her work by attending almost every open mic on the Coast, totalling 5 or 6 open mics every week. Fast track a few years and Kristine now plays acoustic and electric guitar, ukulele, djembe, cajon, congas, washboard and other percussion instruments.
It would be a rare thing indeed to see Kristine without her trademark caps and hats. She loves wearing them and has one to suit every outfit. Wearing cool, classy, trendy, funky, even quirky clothes to suit her tastes, means that Kristine likes being different and embraces her individuality.
